Start at the village of Vrbniški Dol. At the parking lot, find markings for the Kozlek peak but go right and follow the marked path for Ahac. The trail gets steeper, but the deep and shaded forest mitigates the heat. You will know you have reached the top once you see the ruins of a medieval church and the walls of an Iron Age hillfort. On the northern slopes of Ahac, just below the peak, you can quench your thirst at the healing spring.
