Trpčane – Kozlek trail

The trail from Trpčane to Kozlek is a classic Brkini mountain trail, starting in the valley of the river Reka and climbing through the forest towards the scenic peak of Kozlek. From the very beginning, a pleasant forest environment greets the hiker, and the trail then ascends steeply along serpentine paths past Gavne Hill and higher through mixed forest to the viewpoint.

The Kozlek Cottage (997 m) is located just below the summit and offers a beautiful view of the Snežnik Mountains, Brkini, Vremščica and the Reka Valley. There is a seating area and a terrace next to the hut.

The trail is suitable for those looking for a shorter but more intense hike with a beautiful view of Notranjska and Primorska.
