To the source of the River Reka

From Ilirska Bistrica, take the main road to Kuteževo. Here, turn left at the primary school, cross the Reka river and climb gently up to the village, where immediately around the corner of the house turn sharp right and then after 20 metres turn right again. When you reach Pograje, you will see a church above the village. At the first village crossroads, turn right and then keep left at the next one. After 500 m, you will come perpendicular to a slightly wider road and follow it down to the right. When you reach the village of Zabiče, take the road to Novokračine at the crossroads. After about 1 km you reach the foot of the hill. At the crossroads, take the dirt track to the left and follow the dirt track for 4.5 km to the state border. This part is called Dleto.

All the time we will be gently climbing along the river Rijeka, which we will cross several times over cute little bridges, so that now we will be on the left bank, now on the right. When you reach the lock and the state border marker, turn around. Take the main road to Kuteževo and Trpčane and turn left on the macadam road before the village of Jablanica. Just before the village, turn right onto the village asphalt road, which winds through the whole village and then along the main road to Vrbica. At Vrbovo, return to the main road and cycle via Jasen to the starting point.
