The Way of the Cross to St Catherine of Novokračine
From Ilirska Bistrica, drive towards the Croatian border to the village of Jelšane. At the end of the village turn left for Novokračine. After about 1.5 km, you will reach a small pass where you will see the signs for St. Catherine. Park on the left and cross the road on the ascending forest path, where you can see the Stations of the Cross. When you reach the hunting lodge, there is a short climb up the path to the chapel of St Catherine.
