Kozlek mountain hut

The hut is situated just below Kozlek Peak, on the sheltered side of the southern edge of the high Snežnik Plateau, which rises steeply above the Upper Reka Valley - Kozlek is the highest peak on this edge. The hut was built by the mountaineers of the Podgora Mountaineering Group, which operates in the villages of the Upper Reka Valley. Most of the work and transport of materials was done by volunteers and the hut was inaugurated on 1 May 1994.

The hut is open on Sundays from 1 May to 15 October. Visitors can enjoy cold drinks and hot beverages. The indoor dining area seats 16 guests, while an additional 20 seats are available outside in front of the hut.
