Kindler Park

Viljem Kindler planted the park with 110 different plant species, 45 coniferous and 65 deciduous, including exotic species that the locals did not believe would survive in the climate of Bistrica. There are many footpaths and bridges across the pond, where white and pink locusts bloom in summer.

The Bistrica and Sušec rivers flow through the north-western part of the park. In the first half of the 19th century, they powered numerous sawmills and mills in the oldest part of the town, called Guranji kraj.
