Grda Draga-Pekel-Snežnik route

The path from Grda Draga to Snežnik leads through the picturesque forest world of the Snežnik Mountains. After an initial pleasant climb, the path turns into a slightly steeper section through the Pekel Gorge, known for its characteristic karst relief and the silence of the forests.

Higher up, the trail joins the ridge trail, which leads past the Mount Mali Snežnik and on to the Drago Karolin hut (1790 m), just below the summit of the Mount Veliki Snežnik. Here, hikers can refresh themselves and enjoy the views of Kvarner, the Alps and the Inner Dalmatian countryside.

The shorter but intense climb makes it an excellent choice for those who want a shorter but strenuous ascent to Snežnik.
