Sušec

Few can boast a waterfall in the middle of the city - and Ilirska Bistrica can. The Sušec waterfall is hidden in a shady valley, just a few steps from the old town; the sound of the water in the natural amphitheatre will quickly dazzle you and the hours will pass like minutes. The rhythm of the Sušec is given by Snežnik: in summer, a trickle of water runs over the rocks here and there, but in autumn - and even more so in spring, when the snow melts - the Sušec becomes magnificent, noisy, unforgettable.

From Marshal Tito Square, where you can park in marked parking spaces (there is NO parking at the waterfall), it is about a 5-minute walk through the Old Town to the Sušec Waterfall.
