Beu Kamn Educational Trail
The trail is approximately 5 km long and stretches around Bač. The starting point is in the centre of the village of Bač, where visitors encounter the architecture of the Pivka region, and the trail continues towards Kalc Castle, past the intermittent Bač Lake, over the remains of a Roman hillfort to a natural bridge. At the natural bridge, the trail turns back towards the village of Bač. This is followed by a visit to the military cistern, troughs, taps and interesting water reservoirs on the slope of Tuščak, the Church of St. Anne with paintings by August Černigoj and the Church of St. Ivan, the village cistern with its interesting history and architecture, the laundry, the black kitchen and the bicycle museum. The entire trail is equipped with worksheets to be solved by the participants on the way and at the individual points along the trail. Those who wish can climb the Tuščak hill (786m), which offers a beautiful view of Brkini, Nanos, St. Trinity and other surrounding places and hills. The trail is easy and suitable for all ages.
