Mirjana Matić, Spirit of Space
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition and to meet the author of the exhibited works, Istrian artist Mirjana Matić. Her work will be presented by the curator of the exhibition, art critic Anamarija Stibilj Šajn, and we will be joined by musicians Tanja Hozner and Gregor Volk.
Mirjana Matić was born in 1955 in Pula. She graduated in Fine Arts from the Academy of Pedagogy in Rijeka. She has worked as an art teacher in several schools in Istria. In her studio she has organised and conducted numerous pedagogical painting and graphic workshops. Her motif world represents an artistic homage and a deep relationship to her native land, Croatian Istria, where she lives and works. She has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU) of Istria. She lives and works in Višnjan.
