The Story of Jožefa Maslo and Her Monument

We invite you to a lecture dedicated to Jožefa Maslo and her monument, which will take place on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, at 7:00 pm at the Ostrožno Brdo Local Community Hall (Memorial Room of the Zalesje Partisan Hospital). The lecture will be given by Gorazd Maslo and Aneja Rože Kravanja from the Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica.

After the lecture, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Partisan Hospital Zalesje Memorial Room individually. The exhibition also features a plaster cast of the statue of Jožefa Maslo. The original statue of Jožefa Maslo, located at the former site of the Ilirska Bistrica kindergarten near the Dom na Vidmu community centre, was created in 1982 by the academic sculptor Marjan Keršič – Belač.
