Opening of the Geometric Center

We invite you to the opening ceremony of the Geometric Centre of the Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica on Saturday, 19 September. We will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the car park at Črne njive, from where we will set off on a guided hike to Mount Ahac, led by the Snežnik Mountaineering Club. Sabina Stambulić Pugelj, a local tourist guide, will introduce us to the archaeological site on Mount Ahac. We will then descend to the municipality’s centre of gravity, where the Mayor, Dr Gregor Kovačič, will tell us more about the Geometric Centre. The official opening ceremony will follow, after which we will return to Črne njive.

Registration for the hike is open until 17 September 2026. Please register by emailing info@tic-ilbistrica.si or by completing the form below.

Participation in the event is free of charge. Each participant will receive a small gift.
