Mushroom exhibition

The Ilirska Bistrica Mushroom Association is organizing a mushroom exhibition, which will take place on 9 October at Kozlek Farm (Rozmanova ulica 19, Ilirska Bistrica).

The collection and submission of mushrooms will already take place on Thursday, 8 October, until 6:00 PM at Kozlek Farm. Bring along the mushrooms you have collected – together, we will identify them, determine their species and prepare them for the exhibition. They will be sorted and identified by Katarina Grabnar, a renowned mushroom expert.

On Friday, you can visit the mushroom exhibition between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Expert guided tours will be led by Katarina Grabnar and Rihard Baša.

After the exhibition, at approximately 7:00 pm, there will be an expert lecture on dangerous mushroom look-alikes, the medicinal properties of certain mushrooms, and interesting facts from the world of fungi.

After the lecture, we will enjoy a social gathering featuring delicious mushroom-based culinary treats, of course!
You are warmly invited to join us in discovering the fascinating diversity of the mushroom world!
